Warehouse Worker Lead - Boynton Beach, FL
The Warehouse Worker Lead is responsible for checking built loads for accuracy, loading trucks, unloading trucks, use of warehouse equipment to include fork lift operator and any and all everyday housekeping of the work area. The Warehouse Worker Lead will act as a Loader/picker when needed.
Position Shift and Schedule
- This is a Full-Time permanent position
- Monday to Friday (weekedns required if needed)
- From 3am until work is done (pass noon if needed)
- Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays occasionally if required as scheduled.
Position Responsibilities
- Accurately build outgoing loads.
- May load route trucks and semi-trailers with propane or battery-operated forklift and/or pallet jack, moving product in and out of the warehouse as required.
- Hand shrink wrap customer orders with label and move completed order to the loading dock staging area using electronic pallet jack or walkie-rider equipment.
- Report all product discrepancies or quality issues to supervision including damaged product, wrong store number, equipment issues, etc.
- Physically count inventory on outbound and inbound trucks of product.
- Verify accuracy of inventory count and loading sheets.
- Verify the completion of settlement sheets.
- Follow all safety procedures and adhere to all company policies and procedures, including the safe operation of equipment and help to maintain a safe, clean work environment to include general housekeeping warehouse duties
- 1 year of sit down forklift operation experience , double forklift experience preferred
- Lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds repeatedly
- Ability to work while standing, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, kneeling and lifting for the entire duration of the shift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. throughout the entire shift from floor to over-head
- Ability to work while using a headset, voice-activated, order selector picking system.
- Experience with coordinated operation of AGV’s (Automated Guided Vehicles) preferred
- Pay starting at $24 per hour.
