About The Role
Comprising KEVIN.MURPHY, KMV, BELLUDIO, BEAUTYSCOPE, and SHOWPONY, we are a global leader in hair care, sold in over 65 countries, with a team of more than 250 passionate professionals.
This role falls under our premium distributor, BeautyScope, and we are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Inventory Controller to join our KEVIN.MURPHY Mid Atlantic (Beautyscope) team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting inventory management processes, ensuring accuracy in data entry, and contributing to logistics and warehousing efficiency. This role demands a high level of attention to detail, analytical skills, and a proactive approach to inventory control.
What You’ll Be Responsible For:
Inventory Management:
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels across the warehouse and retail locations.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies promptly.
- Identify and report inventory trends, risks, or anomalies to the management team.
Data Entry and Reporting:
- Ensure accurate data entry for all inventory transactions in the inventory management system.
- Generate and analyse inventory reports to support business decision-making.
- Maintain up-to-date and organised inventory records for auditing purposes.
Logistics and Warehousing Support:
- Collaborate with the logistics team to track and manage incoming and outgoing stock.
- Assist with the coordination of stock transfers and shipments to meet business needs.
- Support warehouse organisation to optimise storage and improve operational efficiency.
Data Analytics:
- Perform detailed data analysis to assess inventory performance and support supply chain optimisation.
- Provide insights on inventory turnover, order fulfilment rates, and stock holding efficiency.
Compliance and Accuracy:
- Ensure all inventory processes adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Proactively address and resolve inventory-related issues to minimise disruptions.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in inventory management, logistics, or a similar role of at least 2-3 years.
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management software (MS Dynamics/Netsuite) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of warehousing operations and logistics processes is highly desirable.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
- 2-3 years of experience in inventory control or a related role in logistics and warehousing.
