Northshore Education Consortium is an educational collaborative that provides intensive special education services to children and youth with emotional, behavioral and developmental disabilities.
The Kevin O’Grady School is a substantially separate public day school educating over 100 students with severe special needs. The school has a strong multidisciplinary team model.
Northshore Education Consortium is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a position anticipated in January 2025.

Position Summary:
The primary location will be at the Kevin O’Grady School, providing direct service to a caseload of students with severe disabilities.
The ideal candidate will be experienced with students who have severe ASD and intellectual impairments, and will be skilled at the utilization of AAC.
Specific Duties:
●Evaluate students to determine their functional levels, identify strengths and weaknesses, and recommend therapeutic interventions and accommodations.
●Design and implement therapeutic programs in order to assist students to access the educational environment and to develop to their fullest potential.
●Collaborate with staff to ensure consistency of programming.
●Evaluates students’ therapy needs and develops goals and objectives (to be considered – as part of the Team process).
●Assess students’ needs for access to Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) including Speech Generating Devices.
●Knowledge of Social Thinking Strategies and Curriculum a plus.

Education/Training/Experience: Master’s Degree in Communication Disorders. MA DESE Certification: Specialist Teacher, Speech/Language/Hearing Disorder, All levels; MA State License as a Speech-Language Pathologist granted by the Board of Registration for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (CCC holders), CCC preferred, will consider strong CF.
Strongly Preferred: Experience with students challenged by depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD or Autism Spectrum Disorders.
