Job Overview
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Landscape Designer to join our team. The Landscape Designer will work closely with clients, contractors, and other team members to bring innovative landscaping ideas to life.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, preferences, and requirements for landscape projects.
- Create detailed landscape designs, including plant selection, hardscape elements, and layout plans.
- Utilize knowledge of lawn care, garden design, and tree care to recommend appropriate plants and materials.
- Prepare project proposals and presentations to communicate design concepts effectively.
- Oversee the implementation of designs by coordinating with contractors and ensuring quality standards are met.
- Conduct site assessments to evaluate existing conditions and determine the feasibility of proposed designs.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and best practices in landscape design.
- Perform regular landscape maintenance tasks as needed, including digging, planting, and using power tools.
Experience
- Proven experience in landscape design or a related field is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to landscaping equipment and tools.
- Familiarity with hardscape elements such as patios, walkways, and retaining walls.
- Ability to maintain landscapes through effective maintenance practices.
- Experience working with various landscaping materials and techniques is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
- A creative mindset with a keen eye for detail in design aesthetics.
