What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-time Associate Dentist position at Kew Gardens Dental P.C.?
Position open for Tuesdays and Wednesday.
Responsibilities:
- Perform dental procedures such as fillings, extractions, and root canals
- Conduct patient assessments and develop treatment plans
- Administer local anesthesia and monitor patients during procedures
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and preventive care
- Collaborate with dental hygienists and assistants to ensure efficient patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean dental environment
- Stay informed about advancements in dentistry and participate in continuing education
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school
- Valid state dental license in good standing
- Strong knowledge of dental procedures, techniques, and terminology
- Proficiency in Dentrix or similar dental practice management software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and staff
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Familiarity with medical coding systems for billing purposes is a plus
