Description
This is an essential position in the Marketing Department since this position is responsible for supporting the marketing director as well as coordinating and executing the marketing plan.
This position will work closely with other firm personnel, referral sources, and vendors. Key competencies include superior communication skills, attention to detail, organizational skills, prioritization, and an understanding of marketing, advertising, and internet marketing. Must have the ability to multi-task, work successfully in a fast-paced work environment, and meet deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Manage firm systems for sending out various communications to potential, current, and previous clients, vendors, and referral sources.
- Strategize and coordinate speaking events, webinars, and social events.
- Serving as "back of the room" support at speaking engagements.
- Once a client's file is closed, operate the Post Representation Glidepath systems to nurture past client relationships causing more new referrals and new matters from the client base.
- Coordinate live events / seminars / open house / client or referral source appreciation receptions. Tasks include following action plans for the event, being sure rainmakers are scheduled and prepared for the event, coordinating the invitation and RSVP lists, marketing materials, coordinating registrations, setting up tables and / or the booth at resource events or trade shows, etc.
- Coordinate with copywriter(s) on monthly mailed and / or digital newsletters as well as ensure the newsletter(s) is sent on time.
- Coordinate daily and weekly meetings with team members to ensure all marketing project deadlines are met.
- Execute / coordinate activities related to the firm's online presence. This includes reputation management, website updates, social media, YouTube, directory listings, and PPC.
- Assist with editing submitted copy, rewriting, and developing copy as necessary for appropriate style, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and length using AP style guidelines.
- Assist with the proofing process incorporating suggestions and edits to ensure marketing information is accurate, consistent, and meets strategic goals.
- Coordinate with other possible vendors / agencies to support marketing efforts.
- Make sure to touch base and stay aware of possible speaking / publishing opportunities for the firm, such as radio stations, podcasts, journals, blogs, etc.
