Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures.
- Perform animal catheterization and administer medications as directed.
- Monitor animal vital signs and health status during treatments.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation using veterinary terminology.
- Provide proper restraint techniques to ensure the safety of animals during examinations.
- Educate pet owners on animal care, nutrition, and preventive health measures.
- Conduct dental cleanings and assist with dental procedures using appropriate terminology.
- Prepare animals for surgery, including anesthesia monitoring and post-operative care.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including sterilization of instruments.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and veterinary terminology.
- Experience in animal care or handling, with a focus on dog handling preferred.
- Ability to perform animal catheterization and understand dental terminology.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Certification as a Veterinary Technician or equivalent experience is preferred but not required.
