President Position:

We are seeking an experienced leader to serve as the President of Keweenaw Bay Ojibwa Community College. The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic leadership and daily operations, requiring a strong ability to foster a shared vision and trust within the college and the broader community.

About the Role:

The President serves as the chief executive officer of Keweenaw Bay Ojibwa Community College, responsible for leading the college in its mission to provide holistic education that promotes Anishinaabe culture, language, and lifeways.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a student-centered vision and strategy to guide the college's future, expanding program and course offerings including online courses that align with community needs and cultural preservation goals.
• Academic Quality: Enhance academic quality by supporting faculty development, promoting innovative teaching methods, and ensuring the integration of Anishinaabe culture and language into curricula.
• Cultural Engagement: Strengthen relationships with the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community and other stakeholders, promoting cultural events and initiatives that preserve and celebrate Anishinaabe heritage.
• Student Success: Implement strategies to improve student retention, graduation rates, and overall success, fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
