What are the responsibilities and job description for the DME Customer Service Rep position at Kex RX Pharmacy?
Taking applications for a Customer Service Representative in our Medical Equipment Department in the Hiawatha, KS location. A successful candidate must have exceptional customer service, a strong work ethic and willing to learn. Someone who can handle changing situations, who can multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist patients on the phone or in person.
- Assisting patients in obtaining correct medical equipment to meet their needs.
- Be able to demonstrate types of equipment and the appropriate set up/use of item.
- Measure and fit patient for equipment based on physician orders and patient needs.
- Enter physician orders into software system, collect all patient information to be able to process order in a fast timely manner .
- Dispense correct item to the customer after all required criteria has been met.
- Assist patients with supply refills to keep patient compliant with their medical equipment needs
- Ordering merchandise, checking merchandise into inventory, maintaining that inventory and making sure products are stocked for resale.
Must be able to follow policies and adhere to insurance guidelines, possess good communication skills and have computer knowledge.
Must be able to rotate on an on-call schedule for after-hours emergencies, be able to sit, stand, kneel, bend and lift upwards of 50lbs
