Position Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Part-Time Payroll Coordinator/Bookkeeper to join our growing team. In this role, you will manage payroll processing and bookkeeping tasks for our diverse client base, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of services. Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll accurately and on time for clients, adhering to federal and state regulations.
- Prepare and file payroll tax returns, including quarterly and annual filings (e.g., Form 941, W-2s).
- Maintain and update payroll records, including employee benefits and deductions.
- Address and resolve payroll discrepancies or inquiries.
- Bookkeeping:
- Record financial transactions and reconcile accounts using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes for clients.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Assist with client financial statement preparation and reporting
Compliance & Support:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws.
- Assist with audits, as needed.
- Communicate effectively with clients, maintaining a professional and collaborative relationship.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing and bookkeeping.
- Familiarity with payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Gusto) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Other Requirements:
- Knowledge of current payroll laws and regulations.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
