Administrative Duties
· Behavioral Health Intake Duties:
o Intake of Outpatient Clients
o Call new referrals to secure insurance or other information to complete referral for services.
o Document referrals on tracking spreadsheet daily.
o Check the Kentucky Medicaid website to verify insurance is current.
o Monitor and respond to email and phone calls from potential client or referral sources.
o Schedule ADOS appointments.
o Call clients to remind of next-day appointments for ADOS appointments.
· Office communication & Administrative Duties
o Answering of phones and general reception of guests.
o Calling clients to facilitate scheduling of appointments.
o Check Mail and Distribute Daily.
· Upkeep of Lexington BHSO office
o Assist with daily cleaning checks and office safety checklist.
Additional Duties
· Excellent planning and organizational skills.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills.
· Ability to maintain customer and client relationships.
· Ability to be flexible, open to new ideas, and adapting to changes.
· Ability to take initiative and demonstrate a sense of urgency.
· Ability to maintain composure in difficult or stressful situations.
QUALIFICATIONS
· High school diploma or equivalent plus two years of work experience.
· Must have exemplary telephone and interpersonal skills.
· Strong oral and written communication, as well as the ability to use proper grammar, are essential
· Prior experience with customer service.
· Prior intake experience is preferred.
· IT knowledge a plus.
· Insurance billing

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines
