Job Overview: Key Cars Auto Group is seeking a dynamic and experienced Fixed Operations Director to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Service and Parts departments. This leadership position plays a critical role in ensuring the overall success of our fixed operations by optimizing departmental performance, driving profitability, and enhancing customer satisfaction. The Fixed Operations Director will manage a team of service and parts professionals, fostering a collaborative and customer-focused environment while maintaining operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Development:
Lead, mentor, and develop the service and parts departments.
Set clear performance expectations and provide continuous training to ensure team members excel.
Foster a positive and high-performance culture while encouraging accountability and teamwork.
Operational Efficiency:
Oversee daily fixed operations activities, ensuring effective scheduling, workflow management, and process efficiency.
Monitor and analyze department performance metrics (e.g., service hours, parts sales, repair times) to identify improvement opportunities.
Implement best practices to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and maximize profitability.
Customer Satisfaction:
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service delivery and consistent follow-up.
Address customer complaints and concerns promptly, ensuring that customer issues are resolved to their satisfaction.
Maintain a focus on building long-term customer relationships and loyalty.
Financial Management:
Develop and manage department budgets, forecasts, and financial goals.
Ensure that all departments meet or exceed profitability targets by driving service and parts sales.
Identify cost-saving initiatives while maintaining service quality and department performance.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with the sales team, general manager, and other departments to ensure seamless operations across all areas of the dealership.
Provide regular updates to senior leadership on department performance, challenges, and opportunities.
Establish and maintain relationships with key vendors and suppliers to ensure the availability of parts and tools needed for operations.
Compliance and Safety:
Ensure all fixed operations are compliant with industry regulations, manufacturer guidelines, and company policies.
Promote a safe work environment by ensuring adherence to safety protocols and standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Automotive Management, or related field (preferred).
Minimum of 3 years of experience in fixed operations management (Service and Parts), preferably in an automotive dealership environment.
Proven track record of driving operational excellence, profitability, and customer satisfaction in a fixed operations role.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage budgets, analyze financial data, and drive profitability.
In-depth knowledge of automotive service processes, parts inventory management, and industry trends.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications and manufacturer certifications are a plus.
