Cocktail Server

Key Circle Commons is looking for an enthusiastic cocktail person with some bartending experience to provide an excellent guest drinking experience. Good cocktail servers will be able to provide upscale service at all times, assisting bartenders with pouring beer and wine, bussing and polishing dishes, and most importantly exceeding customers’ needs and expectations. All shifts are PM shifts starting at or around 4pm. Compensation includes hourly rate and tips.

Responsibilities

• Prepare any beer or wine for bar and bar patrons that your bartenders need.
• Interact with customers, take orders and serve small plates and drinks.
• Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations to fit their taste
• Do any prep needed to execute service
• Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age of 21 at all times.
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
• Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience.
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations.
• Ensuring guest are never overserved or intoxicated to a point of discomfort.
• Keep tables free and clear of clutter at all times and bus tables when guest leave.
• Run all items through dish and polish all glassware, plates, and cutlery.

Skills

• Resume and proven working experience as a server/cocktail server
• Excellent knowledge of beer, spirits, and wine
• Decent knowledge of modern day craft cocktail scene.
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
• A great team player who is there to assist when needed.
• Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
• Able to multitask in high volume environment
• Good communication skills and ability to take direction

Requirements

• Certification of Food Safety and Handling in Jefferson County
• Wednesday - Saturday (3pm-11:30pm Monday-Saturday, closed Sundays)
• Reliable transportation (you have your own vehicle to get to and from work)
• Bar certifications preferred but not required

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
