Summary of Position

The Chief Operating Officer & Integrator is a role within CornerStone Financial Group.  This role manages the day-to-day operations of the organization to include personnel, systems and processes management, as well as overseeing and managing special projects as determined by the leadership team.  This role is integral to holding the organization accountable towards goals, ensuring that all functions and people are aligned with practice targets.  As the Integrator of the firm, this role has strong responsibilities tied to achieving the organizational Vision/Traction Organizer (V/TO).

As an Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) Integrator, this role has five core responsibilities in the firm, which include:

  • Leadership, Management, Accountability
  • Business Plan Execution
  • Integrating Major Business Functions
  • Resolving Cross Department Issues
  • Facilitating Seamless Communication in Organization

This role includes a few key responsibilities, including, but not limited to:

  • Operational Efficiency
    • Creation of procedurals and workflows to support the most efficient processes.
    • Documentation and ongoing updates for all operational functions.
    • Training and continuity of core systems amongst all team members.
    • Ongoing review of Ameriprise technology to stay current on operational changes.
  • Utilize applicable Ameriprise technology (CRM, eMeeting, and other tools) to provide the most efficient and digitally savvy client experience.
    • Implementation of applicable changes, based on industry evolvements and needed changes to better support a strong client experience.
    • Creation of a scaling structure to have strong measurements of capacity.
  • Team Leadership & Accountability
    • Support the creation and upholding of the practice’s Vision/Traction Organizer.
    • Help to establish the 3-year picture, 1-year plan, and quarterly rocks (initiatives).
    • Manage ongoing success by holding team members accountable to rock achievement.
    • Lead applicable team meetings, such as Level 10 Meetings, Same Page Meetings (1:1), Executive Leadership Team Meeting, All Team Meetings, and more, as needed.
  • Personnel Leadership & Management
    • Lead and manage the support staff of the organization.
    • Facilitate performance review conversations, providing coaching and guidance to team members, as well as corrective action, as needed.
    • Provide accountability to Financial Advisors on their production.
    • Support team members’ development, fostering an environment that maintains our strong culture, while focusing on their individual goals.
  • Recruiting & Development
    • Create a sustainable internship program to develop Financial Advisors.
    • Support Franchise Owners in recruiting Junior Advisors or up-and-coming professionals to our firm.
    • Identify and recruit talent for other necessary open roles for the organization.
  • Quantum Growth
    • Support Franchise Owners in building relationships with prospective Financial Advisors and teams to join the organization.
    • Lead the tactical element of practice acquisitions, including, but not limited to:
      • Leadership and accountability of the acquisition plan.
      • Implementation of processes.
      • Onboarding of Advisor (and team members, if applicable).
      • Ensuring client retention through transitions.
    • Regularly review the scaling model with Franchise Owners to ensure that systems, personnel, and infrastructure can support each acquisition.
  • Marketing Leadership
    • Lead and manage the Client Concierge to provide guidance toward marketing, growth, and client experience events.
    • Oversee the marketing initiatives for the organization.
    • Provide insight and ideas towards marketing activities to support growth.
    • Maintain an annual marketing calendar in coordination with the Franchise Owner.

Preferred Experience

Preferred candidates will come with either prior experience as an operations executive, and/or experience in the financial services industry.  Other preferred experience and strengths include:

  • Experience within Ameriprise Financial
  • Experience in a financial advisory practice
  • Understanding of, or prior use of the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS)
  • Leadership of multiple functions/departments
  • Creating workflows and procedurals
  • Working directly with organizational executives
  • Prior project management experience
  • Managing tactical elements of mergers and acquisitions

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This job operates in a traditional office landscape, routinely using standard office equipment such as a laptop, phone, and other digital equipment.  This is largely a sedentary role.  The appropriate technology will be provided by the company to do basic elements of the day-to-day responsibilities.

Position Outline

This is a full-time, salary position with the following daily hours:

  • Monday-Thursday: 8:00am-4:30pm (ET)
  • Friday: 8:00am-2:30pm (ET)

This position is primarily an in-office role.  Remote work options can be provided as business allows.  Additional hours may be expected based on varying business needs or other activities that are outside normal working hours.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for the Chief Operating Officer & Integrator is $120,000 per year.
