We are seeking a passionate and experienced journalist with strong editorial capabilities to join our team as a Data Report Journalist. In this role, you will combine analytical expertise with excellent writing skills to transform complex data into in-depth, long-form reports for industries such as Law, HR, Wealth & Finance, and Insurance. As part of this role, you will also take on an editorial leadership function, guiding a team of writers, providing feedback, and collaborating across teams to produce high-quality, insightful reports tailored to our audience.
Key Responsibilities:
Data-Driven Journalism & Industry Reporting:
- Collect, clean, and analyze data from various sources to extract meaningful insights.
- Write long-form industry intelligence reports on sectors like Law, HR, Wealth & Finance, and Insurance, including executive summaries, case studies, and white papers.
- Ensure clarity, conciseness, and engagement in your writing, while tailoring reports to meet the needs of our target audience.
- Expand data sets by integrating reputable online sources, industry knowledge, and economic indicators.

Innovation & Idea Development:
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data analysis and report writing.
- Brainstorm new ideas for intelligence reports and oversee how large reports can be broken down into monthly reports by other team members.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Work closely with internal cross-functional teams and present findings to stakeholders in an accessible and compelling format.
- Understand market dynamics to design reports through surveys and interviews.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Conduct monthly feedback sessions and provide coaching on tasks like editing and improving articles.
- Address performance concerns promptly with written and verbal feedback.
- Hold weekly video calls with direct reports to offer guidance and support.
The ideal candidate will be:
- Experienced writer: Proven experience writing long-form, insightful reports/articles with strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills: Confident communication in writing, on the phone, and in person.
- Research and interviewing skills: Ability to conduct interviews, gather information, and analyze data.
- Leadership and teamwork: Experience leading and collaborating with teams.
- Business acumen: Understanding of business concepts and market trends.
