Mechanical Assembly
Mechanical Assembly Pay and Hours:
- 5:30 am to 2:00 pm Monday through Friday with possible overtime
- $17.50/HR
Mechanical Assembly Job Description:
- Successful working experience with geared mechanisms, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, pneumatic systems, welding techniques, and painting techniques with air and pump-supplied equipment
- Assemble units per drawing specifications
- Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners
- Removes small quantities of metal with hand files and grinders to produce a close fit between parts
- Operates hydraulic and manual presses to assist in assembly operation
- Assists with performing test procedures on assemblies as directed
- Learns to repair and maintain mechanical equipment
- Assists in painting and parts/assembly cleaning when necessary or required
- Perform material handling and/or track parts to receive into assembly
- Be able to drive forklift trucks, hand trucks or manually move parts as directed or required
