We are Michigan's leading Educational Interiors company and since 1966 we have been supporting Educational institutions throughout Michigan with their interior furnishings. We are seeking a dedicated, service-oriented professional to join our team as a Project Manager based out of our Holland, MI facility. SUMMARY OF POSITION The Project Manager (PM) / Sales Support owns the fulfillment of assigned projects, exceeding the expectations of the customer and ensuring profit protection. This involves leading through influence as well as detailed planning, coordination and communication with customers, vendors, installers, and the team. The Project Manager oversees all tasks, critical dates, client relations, performance quality, budget, and project administration for each assigned project. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIESProject Planning and Coordination
- Work collaboratively with Team to deliver exceptional customer journey
- Direct, coordinate and manage tasks, assignments and completion for entire project team.
- Manage order entry, fulfillment, receiving, delivery, freight and damage claims
- Coordinate with team, to develop work plans, schedule and logistics based on overall project parameters, project schedule and scope, and customer's goals
- Review project site, plans and product specifications
- Provide a single point of contact for, and coordinates with, client and all third-party firmsProject AdministrationMaintain detailed project documentation, including documentation of key project decisions and customer / project request / revisions
- Provide timely, formal written communications throughout project to client, third parties and company's project team
- Manage accurate and detailed record keeping, including receiving documentation, contract adherence, sign-offs and approvals, and key decision records.
- Project / Installation Implementation
- Coordinate planning, scheduling and managing installations and third-party installation companies.
- Work collaboratively with Team to deliver exceptional customer journey
- Keep current with ERP database, all acknowledgments and estimated delivery dates, engaging in continuous follow-up and expediting with freight suppliers and factories
- Coordinate freight costs while meeting delivery schedule
- Ensure all proof of delivery documents and field paperwork are submitted in a timely mannerPunch and Project Close-Out
- Develop punch list with the third-party installer; responsible for punch list resolution
- Confirm project completion
- Manage all final project close-out requirements, including contract requirements, client sign-offs, etc.
- Sales Support
- Work with the sales team to help create and input quotes into CRM systemInformation Technology (IT) Requirements :
- Must be proficient in MS Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Outlook / Exchange
- Within first 30 days of employment must attend virtual training and develop proficiency with Company specific software systemsPay DOEQualificationsQualifications
- College degree, business major or business experience equivalent preferred
- Has a strong knowledge of all aspects of project coordination, including, order management, installation, and project administration
- Plan reading
- Highly organized, self-starter
- Commercial or Educational Furniture Industry experience a plus
- Exceptional customer service skills as well as leading and managing third parties
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Proven ability to multi-task and manage timelines and deadlines
