What are the responsibilities and job description for the Apartment Maintenance Technician position at Key Property Management?
Key Property Management is seeking a Full-Time Apartment Maintenance Technician in Layton, UT. The responsibilities of this position include the following but are not limited to:
· Perform daily maintenance of apartments, grounds, parking lots, and common areas, including snow removal during snowy months
· Custodial duties as assigned.
· General repairs – including electrical, carpentry, sidewalk, and parking lot.
· Painting
· Cleaning
· Carpets
· Appliance troubleshooting
· Safety systems
· Plumbing
· Prepare units for new move-ins
· Assist in preparation for government inspections with an emphasis on site health and safety.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Work with the Property Manager to identify janitorial and maintenance-related and capital improvement activities.
· Initiate, perform, and/or oversee janitorial and maintenance projects.
· Perform apartment turnovers, repairs, grounds maintenance, and overall upkeep on a large property.
· Ability to work independently
· General troubleshooting, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and carpentry is required.
· Hand tools to perform the general duties listed above are required.
· Good communication skills in dealing with employees, residents, contractors, and vendors are necessary.
· Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple, concurrent maintenance activities.
· Work with Property Manager to meet and exceed the needs of the apartment community.
