We are seeking qualified, compassionate, and inclusive Residential Support Specialists with a positive attitude and a desire to make a difference.
Residential Support Specialists (RSS) serve as an important and dynamic part of our residential treatment team by engaging, supporting and overseeing resident activities. RSS staff provide paraprofessional supervision and integral support to our patients and supporting Key Recovery policies and procedures.
RSS staff must demonstrate effective engagement skills with patients in treatment for substance use disorder recovery as well as possible co-occurring disorders. Residential Support Specialists are responsible for patient orientation, coordination of patient transportation, medication monitoring and documentation, and assign/oversee residential housekeeping duties and room checks. Conduct random UA testing and follow chain of custody procedure. Perform safety checks on patients and facility and identify facility maintenance issues. RSS staff work closely with our clinical staff to reinforce positive recovery goals for patients.

Requirements:Education/Experience
- Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent
- One-year residential patient customer service/healthcare specific experience required
- Experience and understanding of substance use disorders and treatment; familiarity with the patient population served. Training and development opportunities provided
- Prefer students completing education to become a Substance Use Disorder professional or pursuing a degree in Human Services
- Certified Peer Counselor a plus - training may be available to qualified applicants
- Must be able to maintain a valid WA State Driver's License, acceptable driving record and be able to operate a company vehicle without restriction
Skills:
- Must demonstrate reliable work attendance, willingness, and ability to work flexible hours
- Basic Knowledge of HIPPA and 42 CFR Part 2 regulations and demonstrate the ability to uphold these privacy laws.
- Strong interpersonal skills while maintaining clear personal and professional boundaries. Must be able to maintain a positive, solution-focused demeanor when responding to conflicts or problems
- Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate clearly, both written and verbal
- Must demonstrate desire to take initiative and utilize good judgment in accomplishing work in accordance with Key Recovery's policies and procedures
- Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to prioritize within a fast-paced environment
