Training Manager – Environmental Safety

Key Resource Group is partnering with an established Prime Government Contract Holder on their search for a Training Manager who is expert in Hazmat for their Suburban South Buffalo job site. This is a Direct Hire opportunity responsible for providing effective leadership and direction for training activities.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Implement and maintain Integrated Safety Management Systems (ISMS) with guiding principles
- Lead training department in external audits and inspections (OSHA, PRE-OP, CSI, EPA)
- Provide oversight of course and video libraries, department change management systems, and budget and personal certification program
- Monitor and assess effectiveness of training programs, continuously updating as needed
- Partner with both individuals and groups both internal and external on safety development and plans
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment that follows established practices while identifying and reporting situations and concerns
- Lead, mentor and support training staff
- Maintain accurate records of training sessions, participant progress, and certifications
Skills and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Environmental Safety and Healthy, Science or related field
- Hazmat background and training experience
- Experience developing and leading a training curriculum Knowledge of OSHA regulations
- Knowledge of Dept of Energy & Dept of Transportation policies and requirements
- Understanding and learning ability in a highly technical environment
- Previous management experience
- DOE 0 426.2A experience is a plus
- 4 years of experience in a Dept of Energy and/or nuclear facility is a plus
