Job Title : Plant Manager / Director of Operations

Compensation : $150K DOE ( bonus plan)
Job Summary :
A well-established food manufacturing facility is seeking an experienced Plant Manager / Director of Operations to lead its production operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bakery manufacturing, with additional consideration given to those with experience in food manufacturing or beverage production. This role requires a hands-on leader who can oversee day-to-day operations, drive efficiency, and ensure compliance with industry regulations and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities :
Oversee all aspects of plant operations, including production, maintenance, sanitation, and quality assurance.
Directly manage the Maintenance Manager, Production Manager, and Sanitation Manager, with oversight of the Quality Department.
Ensure optimal efficiency across two full production shifts with equal personnel distribution.
Implement and monitor KPIs to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and optimize plant performance.
Uphold food safety and regulatory compliance, including AIB standards.
Develop and execute strategic plans to improve plant operations while maintaining high-quality standards in bakery and food production.
Collaborate with senior leadership on cost management, operational improvements, and workforce development.
Lead, mentor, and develop management teams to maintain a high-performance culture.
Ensure facility meets safety, compliance, and sanitation requirements, with a focus on continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Requirements :
10 years of experience in food manufacturing, with strong preference for bakery production.
Proven leadership experience as a Plant Manager or Director of Operations in a high-volume facility.
Knowledge of AIB standards (preferred, though not required).
Strong understanding of production workflows, lean manufacturing, and process optimization.
Bachelor's degree preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.
Ability to lead a large team across multiple departments and shifts.
Local candidates highly preferred (San Fernando Valley, Pasadena, Alta Dena, Monrovia, Duarte, La Caada, and surrounding areas). No relocation assistance is available.
