The Mechanical Assembly Technician is responsible for performing various tasks related to mechanical assembly, machine setup, and light wiring with pneumatic/hydraulic assembly. This role requires compliance with the company's ERP system for production and project work reporting, as well as managing job tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assembling packaging machine components and machinery.
- Preparing machinery for shipment.
- Ensuring compliance with machine production schedule.
- Meeting machine scope of work requirements.
- Performing daily responsibilities on the shop floor.
- Communicating effectively with the Production and Service teams.
- Collaborating with internal departments as needed.
- Maintaining accurate technical and operational documentation.
- Improving the efficiency of the Assembly team by studying and standardizing procedures.
- FOLLOWING ALL COMPANY PROCEDURES AND PROTOCOLS.
- Sharing information and cooperating with the technical team.
- Understanding Production Manager direction and making appropriate recommendations.
- Contributing to troubleshooting efforts as part of a team.
Essential Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical assembly drawings.
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
- Mechanical aptitude and skills.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to regularly lift up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Good vision, including close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color determination, and adjustment of focus.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear.
- Regularly required to bend, twist, climb, knee, and balance.
- Regularly required to use hands to grasp, reach, and operate objects, tools, or controls.
- Exposed to a production environment.
- Must adhere to safety and PPE requirements.
