Assembly Technician Specialist

About the Job
The Mechanical Assembly Technician is responsible for performing various tasks related to mechanical assembly, machine setup, and light wiring with pneumatic/hydraulic assembly. This role requires compliance with the company's ERP system for production and project work reporting, as well as managing job tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assembling packaging machine components and machinery.
2. Preparing machinery for shipment.
3. Ensuring compliance with machine production schedule.
4. Meeting machine scope of work requirements.
5. Performing daily responsibilities on the shop floor.
6. Communicating effectively with the Production and Service teams.
7. Collaborating with internal departments as needed.
8. Maintaining accurate technical and operational documentation.
9. Improving the efficiency of the Assembly team by studying and standardizing procedures.
10. FOLLOWING ALL COMPANY PROCEDURES AND PROTOCOLS.
11. Sharing information and cooperating with the technical team.
12. Understanding Production Manager direction and making appropriate recommendations.
13. Contributing to troubleshooting efforts as part of a team.

Essential Skills:

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical assembly drawings.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
• Mechanical aptitude and skills.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to regularly lift up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
• Good vision, including close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color determination, and adjustment of focus.
• Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear.
• Regularly required to bend, twist, climb, knee, and balance.
• Regularly required to use hands to grasp, reach, and operate objects, tools, or controls.
• Exposed to a production environment.
• Must adhere to safety and PPE requirements.
