Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in behavioral therapy and experience working with children, particularly those with autism and developmental disabilities. This role involves conducting patient assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and implementing evidence-based interventions to promote positive behavioral changes.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify behavioral challenges and needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
- Provide direct behavioral therapy to children, utilizing techniques grounded in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and records for each patient.
- Collect and analyze research data to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
- Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to support the child’s development.
- Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Provide training and support to caregivers on behavior management strategies.
Requirements
- Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is required.
- Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) required. Must have NYS license.
- Proven experience in behavioral therapy, particularly with children.
- Familiarity with medical documentation and record-keeping practices.
- Strong skills in patient assessment and analysis of behavioral health needs.
- Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum or those with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Ability to collect and interpret research data effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
