Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in behavioral therapy and experience working with children, particularly those with autism and developmental disabilities. This role involves conducting patient assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and implementing evidence-based interventions to promote positive behavioral changes.

Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify behavioral challenges and needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
  • Provide direct behavioral therapy to children, utilizing techniques grounded in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation and records for each patient.
  • Collect and analyze research data to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
  • Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to support the child’s development.
  • Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Provide training and support to caregivers on behavior management strategies.

Requirements

  • Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is required.
  • Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) required. Must have NYS license.
  • Proven experience in behavioral therapy, particularly with children.
  • Familiarity with medical documentation and record-keeping practices.
  • Strong skills in patient assessment and analysis of behavioral health needs.
  • Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum or those with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
  • Ability to collect and interpret research data effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • A compassionate approach toward working with children and their families.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: From $85.00 per hour

Compensation Package:

  • 1099 contract

Schedule:

  • After school
  • Choose your own hours
  • Evenings as needed
  • Weekends as needed

Ability to Commute:

  • Nassau County, NY (Required)

Willingness to travel:

  • 25% (Preferred)

Work Location: In person
