What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Teacher/ Support Staff position at Key to Life Christian Child Care Center?
Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing curriculum and lesson plans for children.
- Support the lead teacher in managing behavior and implementing behavior management strategies.
- Provide care and supervision for children in a daycare or preschool setting.
- Assist with the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) for children with special needs.
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities and promote their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Maintain open communication with parents and provide updates on their child's progress.
Recommended Qualifications:
- On the job training available.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
