SUMMARY

Serves as the staff person responsible for various Accounts Receivable and Billing functions for the KEY TRAINING CENTER, Inc and all Affiliate Corporations. Serves as a Liaison to outside agencies for the benefit and best interest of the clients and the KEY TRAINING CENTER.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Performs all Accounts Receivable functions, including
  • Receipts of all payments and monetary donations into Accounting system

  • Communicates all receipts to Accounting Manager, Director of Fiscal and other departments as needed.
  • Responsible for collecting, sorting, entering and verifying all client census.
  • Prepares, calculated and submits Medwaiver billing via online transmission
  • Reviews Accounts Receivable Aging with Accounting Manager, and follows through for timely collection of all receivables
  • Maintains records and spreadsheet of all residential client income ie. (SSI, SSA, OSS, etc).
  • Prepares Cost of Care Schedule, and reconciles with General Ledger account monthly
  • Prepares Monthly billing for Elder Care and Sitter Hours
  • Responsible for Applying for the KEY TRAINING CENTER to become the Representative Payee when requested, in turn Opening and closing Representative Payee savings accounts and prepares SSI Reviews and Rep Payee reports as requested
  • Responsible for Applying for Food Stamp benefits when requested, in turn transferring funds from food stamp accounts to the KEY TRAINING CENTER bank account and prepares DCF Reviews as requested
  • Informing all Outside agencies of residential client movements
  • Count and process Store deposits and recaps
  • Produces and maintains procedures manual and process flow for areas of responsibility.
  • Maintains all records in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Performs other essential functions as required or assigned by the Director of Fiscal Operations, Executive Director or Accounting Manager.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    EXPERIENCE

    1 to 2 year of Clerical / Office experience preferred : Accounts receivable, billing, and collections experience a plus. Knowledge of Social Security and Department of Children and Family is a plus. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and software programs is required. Ability to develop and write reports, compile spreadsheets and write procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management and auditors.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS

    Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures or government regulations.

    OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    Ability to deal courteously, tactfully and efficiently with management, auditors, staff members and client families.

    Ability to set work priorities based on work load and urgencies, and adapt to priority changes

    Must be highly organized and maintain an organized work area.
