What Does a Medical Assistant? As a Medical Assistant with Lower Keys Medical Center, you’re primarily responsible for:
- Assists in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Interviews patients, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and records information on patients' charts.
- Schedules patients for appointments and referrals.
- Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.
- Performs multiple administrative duties as needed.
- Performs a variety of tasks.
- Typically reports to supervisor or manager.

- Requires a high school diploma and medical assistant certificate
- BLS certification required.
- 1 year of experience in healthcare preferred.
