This position will provide forecasting and reporting support to executive leadership to help make informed decisions. The individual will report to the Director, Brokerage Accounting, and will be responsible for designing, developing and producing financial reporting and analysis to serve our business clients and assist in cross functional activities. Primary responsibilities include:
Providing accurate and insightful financial reporting.
Performing financial analysis to identify areas for financial performance improvement. Effectively communicate results, insights, and recommendations to the Finance leadership team.
Conducting ad-hoc financial performance analysis to assist in understanding forecast results and trends.
Essential Job Functions
Generate daily scorecards and dashboards for securities, derivatives and FX sales and trading functions and associated inventory.
Monitor, calculate and report on liquidity and net capital for the broker-dealers within KeyCorp on a daily basis in accordance with the SEC and FINRA Rules and guidance.
Generate regulatory reports for broker-dealers to be filed with the SEC and generate supporting schedules to be incorporated into regulatory reports filed with the Federal Reserve.
Work closely with Procurement to ensure supplier management is coordinated between the suppliers, the line of business users, Accounts Payable and KBCM Finance. Ensure costs of services are appropriately allocated across lines of business.
Provide proactive ideas, advice, and financial modeling for strategic plans, forecasts, performance management, and product profitability.
Leverage ad-hoc financial performance analysis to assist business partners in strategic decision making & understanding drivers behind profit/loss outcomes.
Provide financial guidance and supporting financial evaluations of proposed initiatives and technology investments via the following activities: gathering assumptions, preparing financial projections, and measuring profitability.
Provide guidance and act as liaison between line of business and selected partners relative to financial performance. Partners include but are not limited to human resources, marketing, credit, technology, accounting, and other LOB segments.
Partner with team members, business line leadership, product teams, and finance peers & management in Treasury and Accounting on daily, monthly, and quarterly tasks
Provide accurate and insightful financial reporting, including but not limited to volumes, balance sheet & income statement drivers.
Perform periodic liquidity stress testing for the broker-dealers.
Develop understanding of applicable regulatory guidance for conformity with SEC Net Capital, books and records, and Customer Protection Rules.
Develop automation to ensure functions performed are efficient.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors Degree (Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field)
Organized self-starter with the ability to think and work independently and creatively
Strong financial and/or accounting acumen
Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish solid working relationships with multiple teams and individuals with varying levels of expertise
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in project management/proven ability to lead cross functional team projects
Proven team player, willing to assist others as needed to ensure that group deadlines are met and quality standards achieved
Ability to manage time and multiple tasks effectively
Detail oriented with the ability to thoroughly analyze and resolve issues with limited direction
Possess Series 27 securities licensure or be able to obtain such licensure within one year.
Preferred Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint)
Experience working with financial system reporting environments (i.e., Cognos, Workday, Tableau, etc.)
