KeyLogic is seeking a Linux System Engineer to support the client at a major National Laboratory in Albuquerque, NM. The client’s organization is responsible and driven for providing customer focused, flexible, secure and proven network transport services to meet the mission IT needs. The services include DNS / DHCP Tier 0 services, Enterprise Logging Services, GPONG (Gigabit Passive Optical Network), wireless design and implementation, Optical Transport Services / DWDM, Radio and Spectrum Management.
Work is 100% on-site.
Responsibilities :
Responsibilities include designing, building, integrating and other activities in both the classified and unclassified environments. The primary responsibility is to provide UNIX / Linux System Administration support for server systems that host critical applications and services. The role will also be expected to resolve new problems as the technologies are deployed that will require creative solutions and a variety of enterprise services.
- Provide ongoing back-up / on-call pager rotation and support.
- Hardware and software operating system maintenance, performance tuning, capacity planning, troubleshooting, and testing of operating systems and services.
- Work in a team environment to develop strong working relationships with team members, customer groups and other teams in infrastructure computing, cyber security, and other outside government agencies.
