Network Technician III - 1981

Overview Position :  Network Tech III Location :  Albuquerque, NM Salary Range : $28.00 - $32.00 per hour Clearance : Clearable to Q This is a Network Tech III position within the Enterprise Network Services Team supporting network services within a world class Department of Energy laboratory.  The organization’s overall mission is to utilize industry best practice to create and apply standards, automation, and virtualization to expedite quality infrastructure services.  The vision of the team is to streamline delivery of modern, scalable and secure Enterprise Network Services that allows efficient, fast and cyber compliant connectivity to all Enterprise supported networks.  Responsibilities :

• Fully Support and maintain network connectivity throughout the client's footprint as well as remote sites.
• Work alongside Network Architects and Engineers to complete projects in a timely manner.
• Utilize secure CRT, MobaXterm, TACAS, and AKiPs to troubleshoot, implement change via the configuration terminal, and use the Command Line Interface to ensure devices are properly connected and descriptions are properly in place to develop a clear and concise network.
• Use Brocade VDX devices to manage the Classified networks as well as troubleshoot and change edge ports to connect customers to the classified network.
• Work Tellabs Panorama to maintain ONT / GPON devices, assign VLANs, reprovision devices, and troubleshoot devices that may be causing network connectivity issues.
• Use network management tools and systems through the Out of Band management devices to locate and troubleshoot issues withing a device that is not on the network.
• Manage the ticketing queue on-call for proper 24 / 7, 365 coverage for devices that are managed by Enterprise Networking. Qualifications :
• AA / AS in IT Related field plus 5 years of Networking IT experience.

In Lieu of degree 8 years of job-related experience.

Department of Energy Q security clearance.
