Job Title: Senior IT Network Engineer/Cloud Architect
Location: Chicago, IL (Streeter Ville) Hybrid (3 days onsite)
Duration: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire
Salary Range: $145K after full time.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior IT Network Engineer/Cloud Architect to design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure for a leading healthcare client. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of experience in enterprise networking, Azure, and Juniper, with strong network troubleshooting, firmware upgrades, and advanced design skills. This role requires independent problem-solving, project leadership, and mentoring junior staff in a high-risk data center environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and manage enterprise network infrastructure projects.
• Implement and support Juniper, Cisco, and wireless networking technologies.
• Perform network troubleshooting, firmware upgrades, and security compliance.
• Develop and document network infrastructure standards and roadmaps.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with security teams.

Required Skills:

• Azure & Juniper expertise (CLI & GUI)
• Networking protocols: OSPF, BGP, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, OSI model
• Enterprise data center experience (not small-scale environments)
• Programming/scripting knowledge for automation
• Strong problem-solving & independent work capability

Preferred:

• Juniper, Cisco certifications
• Experience in hospital/24x7 environments
