We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and diagnostics, with the ability to maintain and troubleshoot diesel engines. This role requires a hands-on approach, working with various tools and equipment to ensure that vehicles are functioning optimally. The Diesel Technician will play a crucial role in diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring the safety and reliability of our fleet.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of diesel engines and related components.
- Perform automotive diagnostics to identify issues accurately.
- Execute repairs on shocks, struts, and other suspension components.
- Assemble and disassemble engine parts as needed for maintenance or repair.
- Utilize schematics to understand vehicle systems and troubleshoot effectively.
- Weld components when necessary to ensure structural integrity.
- Engage in heavy lifting and digging as required during repair processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance overall service efficiency.
Experience
- Proven experience in automotive repair, particularly with diesel engines.
- Familiarity with dealership environments is preferred but not required.
- Strong understanding of automotive diagnostics and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks associated with vehicle maintenance.
- Experience with welding is a plus, along with knowledge of assembling mechanical components.
