Do you have an eye for detail and a passion for designing real-world infrastructure? We’re looking for a CADD Technician to support the design and construction of municipal infrastructure improvement projects. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys both drafting in the office and hands-on fieldwork, with opportunities to grow into a Resident Project Representative (RPR) role on active job sites.
What You’ll Do:
- Use AutoCAD/Civil 3D to prepare accurate, detailed drawings and design layouts.
- Interpret redlines, topographic surveys, and rough sketches to develop project plans.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other technicians to develop civil engineering plans and specifications.
- Calculate dimensions, quantities, and profiles for roadways, utilities, and site work using CAD tools and calculators.
- Provide field support as needed—including construction observation, surveying, and materials testing.
- Serve as an RPR on job sites to ensure project execution aligns with plans and client expectations.
- Create graphics and drawings for reports, proposals, and presentations.
- Maintain accurate field diaries, document construction progress, and communicate updates to project leadership.
- Travel as needed for on-site responsibilities during construction season (including potential overnight stays).
What You Bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate degree in Engineering Technology or Technical Drafting is highly preferred.
- 2–5 years of drafting or field experience (municipal infrastructure preferred).
- Proficiency or strong working knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil 3D is required.
- Bonus points for experience with SketchUp, ArcMap GIS, or similar tools.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a strong attention to detail.
- Able to work in both office and outdoor environments—including lifting up to 50 lbs and walking/standing for extended periods during site visits.
Why You’ll Love Working With Us:
- Work on meaningful infrastructure projects that improve local communities.
- Blend of office and fieldwork—never a dull day.
- Supportive team environment with mentorship and growth opportunities.
- Travel opportunities and hands-on experience as a Resident Project Representative.
- Competitive pay, training opportunities, and room to grow your career.
