Vexcel Imaging is a leading provider of high-resolution aerial imagery and geospatial data, aerial camera systems, 3D data, and fully integrated photogrammetric software. Vexcel data services are used in a variety of industry solutions worldwide such as local and federal government programs, financial services, insurance, telecommunications, environmental, energy & utilities, mining, and many others that require the most accurate view of cities and lands in a consumable, digital format. This exciting space includes the use of Vexcel Data Services in AI and machine learning applications, as well as various innovative use-cases in partnership with leading technology companies.
This role will be based in Belen, NM, but with potential to travel the entire US and possibly abroad.
Role Responsibilities:
- Fly in a light-twin/single engine aircraft at low/high altitude with occasional turbulence
- Operate airborne LiDAR, GPS, digital camera and IMU equipment during flight.
- Monitor navigation equipment during the flight to ensure proper tracking and altitude
- Download and ship acquisition imagery data post flight.
- Prepare & maintain flight log, daily reports, and other paperwork after each flight mission
- Assist in the removal, repair and installation of airborne LiDAR, Cameras and other sensor equipment
- Assist in various Flight Operations as needed
- Review flight logs and validate against actual trajectories
- Assess quality of track files, flight lines as executed, and provide feedback
Qualifications:
- High School diploma required
- Must hold valid Driver's License with an acceptable history
Skills:
- Strong computer/technical skills (MS Office Suite)
- Proficient using flight planning software and GPS session planning software tools
- Ability to assess weather suitability for flight missions
- Strong interpersonal and communication (written & verbal) skills
- Strong time management skills & ability to multi-task
- Strong analytical & problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well and contribute in a team atmosphere
