Junior Trucking Account Manager
Position Overview:
The Junior Trucking Account Manager’s responsibilities include customer service, order coordination, relationship building, documentation management, reporting, problem resolution, and continuous learning. This position is the bridge between the CSR and Account Manager. Through their contributions, they play a vital role in ensuring client satisfaction and driving the growth of the company's business.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor policies that are on monthly reporting, including verifying reports with insureds and turning reports into the carriers before the deadline.
- Quoting and adding additional lines of coverage to existing policies, including cargo limit increases, adding trailer interchange, adding UIIA, and OccAcc or NTL/PD policies.
- Gather and finalize renewal packet information: Renewal questionnaire; All loss runs and 4 quarters of IFTAs; MVRs and unit/driver lists; CAB report
- Answer simple accounting/billing questions regarding endorsements or FIF and understand when to escalate.
- Responsible for invoicing bonds.
- Post bind policy creation/update, reviews the post bind checklist to ensure accuracy of polices written, and creates policies in Applied Epic.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
- Minimum of 2 years of commercial lines insurance customer service experience, preferably in trucking insurance
- Active Illinois or non-resident Illinois Property & Casualty License required
- Willingness to complete the NCCI – WCOM/OCAC course
- Understanding of how to use AM Best website (carrier/market ratings)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with Applied Epic highly desired; will consider other agency management systems
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and to remain focused
- Ability to learn new concepts quickly and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm (Hybrid/Remote Work Schedule)
