Under the supervision of the Health, Safety, & Environmental (HSE) Manager, the HSE Specialist is responsible for ensuring the HSE compliance of Keystone’s field operations.

Education/Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Safety Sciences, Construction Management or related discipline; or minimum of 5 years equivalent experience in the solar construction/general construction safety space.
2. Completed internship or co-op in the construction industry (preferred).
Requirements/Skills:
1. Working knowledge of solar construction Industry.
2. Basic knowledge of federal and state regulations (OSHA).
3. Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite).
4. Strong analytical, problem solving, and time management skills.
5. Must be flexible around work schedule and can travel.
6. Valid driver’s license with clean MVR.
7. Good communication skills and the ability to work successfully with people at different levels in the organization.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
This position reports to the HSE Manager with reporting duties to assigned Site Superintendent. The HSE Specialist will serve Coral Reef’s operations throughout Illinois, Pennsylvania, and other states as required.
This position will assist the HSE Manager with the management of the HSE Compliance Program of the Company, which will include, but not limited to:
1. Conduct site inspections to audit compliance with requisite HSE expectations and generate reports and recommendations based on findings.
2. Assist in the completion of incident investigations and the preparation of Incident Reports and Root Cause Analysis Reports (as needed). Track and evaluate incident data and assist in the development of corrective actions and oversee their implementation.
3. Assist in all HSE aspects of Company operations, with the goal of maintaining regulatory compliance and the Goal Zero commitment to injuries and environmental impact.
4. Assist with SWPPP and other environmental permitting as required.
5. Other duties as assigned.
In addition to the above, it should be noted that the HSE Specialist will be asked to remain available and on-call at times to respond to or deploy to site locations and/or emergency situations, or respond to incidents or accidents, as appropriate to assist senior management. This position requires daytime travel (100% ) and will be a field position. Overnight travel will be frequently required. This position will cover projects located in, but not limited to, the following states: IL – PA – NJ – NY – MD – VA.
