Coral Reef, a Keystone Clearwater affiliated company, is currently looking to hire a Human Resources Director for in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Reporting to our VP, Human Resources, with a dotted line to Coral Reef’s COO, you will be responsible for supporting and driving the overall HR strategy related to employee relations, performance management, compensation, benefits, training, and talent management, as well as maintaining and improving HR processes, policies, and procedures across the business. In this role, you will be a working Director and the stand-alone HR business partner for Coral Reef.
To be successful in this role you will need to have strong conflict management skills, a passion for developing employees and a strong desire to drive HR strategy and procedures with organizational goals in mind. The HR Director will quickly develop trust with employees and leaders by having a strong understanding of people and not be afraid to dive into issues head on.
Additional Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive HR strategy that aligns the people, labor, and organizational design initiatives with the organization's overall growth plan and strategy.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for standardization, process improvements, and aligned strategic initiatives that support business and HR strategies and objectives.
- Implement and streamline and efficient HR processes to enhance HR service delivery to organizational stakeholders.
- Oversee all HR programs and projects to ensure they align with the organization's strategic goals, on-time and on budget.
- Coordinate with corporate human resources on FMLA, ADA, disability and workers compensation leaves of absence.
- Partner with Corporate Talent Acquisition and provide support and guidance to hiring managers on employment processes, procedures and best practices relating to hiring talent
- Foster a positive employee relations environment, serving as a resource for resolving employee conflicts and maintaining a high level of employee morale
- Collaborate with managers to resolve employee relations issues, including development of written warnings, counseling with employees and management of ongoing performance expectations.
- Responsible for creating, maintaining, and retaining employee personnel files and ensure all HR practices are compliant with local, state, and federal laws, especially as the company expands into new markets
- Provide accurate and timely information and interpretation of related policies and regulations to managers and employees.
- Address employee questions related to pay, benefit deductions, PTO and resolves any issues.
- Assist with annual benefits open enrollment planning and meetings.
- Assess training needs of regional staff, conduct or coordinate for appropriate internal training and provide recommendations for external training.
- Leads regional wellness activities, including development of on-site programming in support of company wellness initiatives.
- Conduct exit interviews with employees leaving the organization, provides termination paperwork to employee and corporate human resources.
- Participate in the further development of an apprenticeship program and ensure it’s properly managed and tracked according to the Inflation Reduction ACT (IRA)
- Manage prevailing wage tracking program and Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) requirements as they pertain to our industry
- Provides regular and ad-hoc reports to management.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- At least five (5) years of Human Resources leadership experience.
- 4 years of Labor Relations experience in a represented environment.
Preferred Qualifications (in addition to Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in human resources.
- PHR Certification
- Lean or Six Sigma experience
- Working knowledge of prevailing wage requirements as it pertains to the Inflation Reduction Act, or the ability to quickly learn
