SUMMARY:

JOB OVERVIEW:
The Project Accountant is responsible for overall project planning and scheduling, resource allocation, project cost accounting, project risk mitigation, and project buyout. Additionally, the Project Accountant is tasked with maintaining strong client relationships to ensure the possibility of future work opportunities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide project managers and clients with timely financial reports and budgets, as well as project forecasts.
Prepare monthly project billings and lien waivers; effectively communicate with project managers and principals in charge regarding contract documents and change orders related to billing.
Monitor receivable income and support project managers with collections.
Analyze the projects monthly with Project Managers to prepare for financial closing.
Prepare and distribute job cost analysis reports.
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma (Required)
Degree or minimum of 5 years of experience in construction projects (Preferred).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Prior experience in project accounting
Effective communication, negotiation, and mediation skills
Strong organizational and time management abilities
Able to work productively, independently, and as part of a team.
Ability to learn and master project accounting software.
Prior experience with Procore preferred but not required.
Experience with AIA billings
