Role Responsibilities
As a Professional Land Surveyor at Keystone Consulting Engineers, you will play a critical role in shaping the company's success. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct and oversee various types of surveys, including boundary, topographic, construction, and as-built surveys. You will work closely with our team to ensure that all surveying activities meet the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
You will be responsible for preparing and certifying survey maps, plats, legal descriptions, and other documents, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. This will involve performing complex calculations related to land boundaries, elevations, and other property features. You will also analyze survey data and prepare detailed reports and documentation, as well as research land records, deeds, maps, and other legal documents to support survey projects.
In addition to these core responsibilities, you will resolve discrepancies between field data and existing records, adjusting surveys as necessary. You will also ensure that all surveying activities adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, including the Pennsylvania Professional Land Surveyor Law. If required, you will provide expert testimony in legal cases involving property boundaries.
Your excellent communication skills will enable you to effectively interact with clients, contractors, and government agencies, addressing their survey-related inquiries and providing project updates.
