Seed Hub Operations Specialist Seasonal

Position Overview : This position will be responsible for overseeing all operations of the seed hub’s day-to-day workload. This includes , but is not limited to, having the ability to lead a team, ensure efficiencies are met, ensure customer’s orders are correct and delivered in a timely manner . Maintain Keystone Cooperative's standards in all operations, including the safety of all workers and customers. Â

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assist in managing the day-today operations of the facility according to divisional objectives , to provide patrons with prompt, courteous and effective service while maintaining the efficiency necessary to achieve a maximum margin of profit Â

• Keep branch personnel up to date on their customer’s orders that are ready for them to either deliver or to have their customers pick up Â

• Order all seed for the salespeople through the Agvance Ordering system and Seed Sales Tool Â

• Palletize and otherwise make ready for shipment , all seed orders Â

• Manage all downstream treatment of Soybeans Â

• Assist with running application equipment and tender trucks , as needed  Â

• Assist with Operational Tasks – Deliveries, loading and unloading trucks Â

• Maintain a safe working environment Â

• Ensure that department facilities and equipment meet all federal, state, and OSHA regulations Â

• Manage costs by eliminating shrink, managing inventories and maximizing efficiencies Â

Skills and Qualifications : Â

• Must understand basic business principles of inventory management and  personnel supervision   Â

• Demonstrated strong leadership and organizational skills   Â

• Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement , or ability to obtain Â

• Excellent customer service skills   Â

• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook  Â

• Detail oriented with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written   Â

• Must be a team player and enjoy the effort necessary to contribute to a successful operation and company  Â

• Ability and desire to solve problems in the fields of our customers and supporting  l ocations Â

• S hould have a relative knowledge of crop diagnostics, crop protection, seed and fertility Â

Education and Experience: Â

• 3 – 5 years progressive Agronomy related experience Â

• Experience leading safety and business improvement strategies   Â
