Job Description
This role is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with assigned customers, understanding their initiatives, goals, and strategies, and identifying opportunities to provide value-added services. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility with key decision-makers.
The Agronomy Account Relationship Manager will work closely with the sales team to ensure objectives and targets are met, and will be responsible for setting and achieving sales volumes, profit margins, and other goals for each assigned account. This includes detailing and positioning Keystone products and services during on-farm calls, telephone calls, text messaging, and other formats to achieve the desired communication style.
Maintaining accurate account and sales call records via Keystone Connect and Strategic Account Profile Sheets is crucial for this role. The successful candidate will also communicate regularly with Location Managers and Operations teams on account progress, service, and potential issues or opportunities.
- Develop and implement customer account plans to meet producers' objectives and targets.
- Identify, evaluate, and respond to key business issues of accounts.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of assigned customers' initiatives, goals, and strategies.
- Communicate effectively with all levels within the customer's operation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 1-3 years of relevant ag sales experience.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain successful business relationships.
- Work hours necessary to be successful and travel as needed.
- Proficient with MS Office suite and company-specific software.
