Quality Inspector Advanced
Job Summary
To perform Quality Assurance assignments using Internal and External Quality Standards. To inspect Printed Circuit Boards, Cable and Harness Assemblies, and Electromechanical products for defects and verification that the product meets the proper standards.
Essential Functions
· Good eyesight (with corrective lenses if necessary) and manual Dexterity.
· Must posses a working knowledge of Electrical/Electronic Components, their corresponding values and schematic symbols.
· Read and understand Electrical Diagrams, Schematics and Test Procedures and review with others as necessary.
· Interpret Mechanical Diagrams and specifications and review with others as necessary.
· Must be a team player and have the ability to communicate clearly with others.
· Assist in the implementation of ISO procedures.
Responsibilities
· Inspect Cable and Harness Assemblies for defects according to proper specifications, drawings and sampling plans, whether internal or customer documentation.
· Inspect Printed Circuit Board Assemblies for defects according to proper specifications, drawings and sampling plans, whether internal or customer documentation.
· Perform Incoming Inspection of Components and Final Inspection of Assemblies as necessary.
· Complete the required documentation, i.e., Certificate of Compliance, NCMR’s, internal inspection reports.
Additional Functions
· Clean personal workspace and QC area.
· Assist in preparation of Quality Documents and organization.
Knowledge, Skills and Ability
· Knowledge of Electronics components and their usage and functions.
· Thorough knowledge of ANSI Std. IPC-610-A, level II/III for PC Board manufacturing.
· Thorough knowledge of ANSI Std. IPC/WHMA-A-620 for Cable and Harness manufacturing.
· Good organizational skills.
· Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
· Knowledge of ISO/QMS systems.
· Ability to use Mechanical measuring devices.
Education, Credentials and Experience
- Minimum High School Diploma, Associates Degree/Certification preferred.
