Job Purpose
Under the direct supervision of Shop Foreman, the Delivery Driver provides logistics support for the fabrication and warehousing facilities by delivering raw and fabricated materials between production facilities, warehouse, and job sites. The person in this role directly impacts the company’s material handling efficiency, product tracking, and general process success. Serving multiple internal stakeholders, the highly functioning Delivery Driver will be energetic, customer oriented, and expedient in providing materials to the job site, and be a safe, efficient, and insurable driver of large commercial vehicles (non-CDL).
Essential Functions
- Shipping & Receiving support
- Unload and load materials onto delivery vehicles
- Transport raw and fabricated materials between facilities and job sites
- Communicate with project managers and other supervisors
- Maintain good relationships with staff
- Suggest ways to improve processes
- Keep vehicles and warehouse/fabrication facilities clean and organized

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, with possible overtime.

Minimum Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One-year of work experience in delivery or similar environment capacity
- Insurable driving record
Preferred Education and Experience
- Previous experience working in shipping and receiving, material handling, and/or delivery
- Forklift certificate and/or experience
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in production and warehouse environments. This role routinely operates commercial grade delivery vehicles, standard warehousing equipment, forklift, delivery truck, hand trucks, and the like, as well as office equipment, such as computers, phones, photocopiers.
