Capital Area Head Start is seeking Early Head Family Educators to join our mission of making a difference in the lives of children, empowering parents, and strengthening families.
As an Early Head Start Family Educator, you will work in collaboration with our inclusive education and support teams to provide comprehensive home-based services. This includes establishing positive relationships with children and families, facilitating home visits, helping families access necessary information, resources, and services, facilitating socialization/family days, and ensuring continuity of services for enrolled expectant families and children ages 0-3.
Early Head Start Family Educators work a full time, flexible schedule, and earn a minimum of $18.42 per hour. Additional benefits include a competitive benefits package comprised of medical, dental, vision, paid time off, 401K, and more!

Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to obtain Home Visitor Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) within one year of hire
- Experience working with young children and families, providing knowledge of early childhood development, family services and developmentally appropriate practice
- Basic computer skills, ability to use Microsoft Word, Outlook and learn web based systems
- Valid driver’s license and access to properly insured vehicle or public transportation
- Successful completion of pre-employment process, including Criminal History, MVR, Child Abuse and FBI clearances
- Passion, enthusiasm, creativity, and commitment to make a difference
- Experience in Head Start or Early Head Start is preferred
