What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mental Health - Direct Support Professional position at Keystone Human Services?
The Work:
Provide quality supports to adults with mental illness in a residential home or apartment based setting
Assist individuals to become more independent, allowing each person in our services to take a lead role in their own rehabilitation process
Provide personal care, administer medications, and mentor individuals following their treatment and support plans
Assist with cooking, cleaning, and other household responsibilities
Plan meaningful recreational activities and take individuals into the community and to appointments as needed
Complete daily documentation as required

Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to learn and apply proficient computer skills, including the use of software and other web based systems
Effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to read, interpret and apply policies and regulations
Valid driver's license and have daily access to a properly insured vehicle
Successful completion of the pre-employment process, including motor vehicle record and criminal background checks
SCR programs ONLY: Must be 21 years of age or older
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in the human services or mental health field
