The Activities Assistant assists the Memory Care Director in developing and coordinating successful activities for our memory care residents. This includes internal and external communication about activities-focused care programming. The Life Enrichment Activities Assistant will assess the residents' interests and plan and manage a calendar that will meet the needs and interests of our memory care residences .This position- requires every other weekend and availability during the week.
Education/Experience: High-school diploma or equivalency.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and implementing engaging activities for residents in a senior living community.
- Assist in maintaining the activity schedule, ensuring a variety of options for residents to participate in.
- Encourage resident participation in activities and events, fostering a sense of community and social interaction.
- Coordinate with other staff members to ensure the smooth execution of activities and programs.
- Document resident participation and progress in activity programs.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of aging issues and counseling techniques is highly desirable.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage activity schedules and coordinate events.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with residents, families, and staff members.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with older adults and staff.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
