Job Function:
Plans, organizes, and implements the staffing schedule for all nursing personnel in accordance with company policies and procedures as well as current federal, state, and local laws, ensuring that the adequate staffing levels are always maintained.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Administrative Functions: Plans, develops, organizes, and implements work schedules for all Nursing departments staff. Establishes and maintains individualized scheduling patterns for each Nursing employee, ensuring fair and equitable distribution of holiday and weekend responsibilities among all staff. Reports any staffing shortages and/or concerns to the Director of Health and Wellness and/or Assistant Director of Health and Wellness. Assists the Executive Director in managing overtime and obtaining approval when required. Replacing call outs when needed. Provide clerical support to the Nursing department as well The Director of Operations.
Qualifications/Specifications
Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalency. Ability to understand and follow instructions, and to communicate effectively with a diverse population. High attention to detail.
Complexity: Ability to plan and prioritize work duties under the direction of the department leaders. Must be able to refer or answer staff questions and understand requests. Must be able to work independently, follow instructions and maintain high level of work in fast-paced environment.
Confidentiality: Will be exposed to confidential information, the disclosure of which would be in violation of law and contrary to the best interest of the community.
Working conditions: Clean, well-lighted residential environment. There will be constant activity, frequent interruptions and varying levels of noise.
Safety: Requires ability to read, write, understand and follow community emergency procedures and all other safety rules and regulations.
Equipment: Must operate office equipment, be able to use Outlook calendar and email, Microsoft Word, Excel, copy machine, Scheduling software (On shift) and ECP.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.47 - $23.45 per hour
