What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inspector/Material Handler position at Keystone Powdered Metal Company?
Keystone Powdered Metal Company, a Sumitomo Electric Group company, is looking for a full-time Inspector/Material Handler who will be working in our St. Marys, PA location. This person will report to the Quality Manager.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
· To efficiently and safely operate equipment or perform operations necessary to
o Operate moving equipment to transport materials to proper locations
o 100% inspect and pack parts for shipment
· To know and follow procedures applicable to this job classification
· Legibly record and maintain applicable product/process information
· Effectively utilize measuring equipment and information obtained from
its use to insure continuation of control conditions
· Provide active input to continuous process improvement
· Effectively communicate job related information to co-workers, supervisors,
and others with a need to know
· Maintain cooperative relationships with other functional areas
· To operate manufacturing equipment and make satisfactory adjustment to ensure product quality
· Assist in training other inspectors
Qualifications
· HS Diploma or GED required
Compensation may vary depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, competencies and location. Base pay is one part of the total compensation and benefits package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
