What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipper position at Keystone Powdered Metal Company?
Keystone Powdered Metal Company, a Sumitomo Electric Group company, is looking for a full-time Shipper who will be working in our Lewis Run, PA location. This person will report to the Production Control and Shipping Supervisor.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
To operate Powered Industrial Trucks in accordance with OSHA Standard 29 CFR 1910.178 (I)
To efficiently and safely operate equipment or perform operations necessary to inspect, ship and transport parts and materials. This includes the making of adjustments to ensure product quality and corrections of general errors that occur.
Perform Daily/Shift inspections of Material Handling Equipment.
Perform operations necessary to prepare parts for shipment and to receive inbound shipments.
Maintain logs & assist with inventory control of LMIX & LMRO warehouses.
Maintain and correct parts inventory, packing and shipping records.
Assist maintaining applicable product/process information.
Utilize available space for organized finished goods storage.
Complete daily Gemba walk in the shipping dept at the end of each shift to confirm outgoing bins are in appropriate location.
Maintain housekeeping and organization of Shipping Dept.
Effectively communicate job related information to co-workers, supervisors and others with a need to know.
Maintain cooperative relationships with other functional areas.
Reliable, consistent attendance is a requirement and essential function of this position.
Qualifications
- Forklift Certification
- HS Diploma or GED
Compensation may vary depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, competencies and location. Base pay is one part of the total compensation and benefits package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
