Position Overview:

We are currently looking for Ophthalmic Technicians to join our dynamic team at Keystone Retina. The ideal candidate will be passionate about eye care, have a strong attention to detail, and possess excellent patient care skills. As an ophthalmic technician, you will assist in providing high-quality diagnostic testing, patient education, and support to our physician in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of diagnostic tests to assess retinal health, including OCT, fluorescein angiography, and fundus photography.
  • Assist patients in preparation for their exam by taking medical histories, measuring visual acuity, and recording vital signs.
  • Operate and maintain diagnostic equipment.
  • Educate patients on procedures, answer questions, and ensure a comfortable experience.
  • Provide support to the retina specialist during procedures and surgeries.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of patient data in the medical record system.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree in ophthalmic technology or related field preferred.
  • Certification as an Ophthalmic Technician (COT) or higher preferred but not required.
  • Experience in ophthalmology or retina practice is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of diagnostic equipment and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
