Position Overview:
We are currently looking for Ophthalmic Technicians to join our dynamic team at Keystone Retina. The ideal candidate will be passionate about eye care, have a strong attention to detail, and possess excellent patient care skills. As an ophthalmic technician, you will assist in providing high-quality diagnostic testing, patient education, and support to our physician in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of diagnostic tests to assess retinal health, including OCT, fluorescein angiography, and fundus photography.
- Assist patients in preparation for their exam by taking medical histories, measuring visual acuity, and recording vital signs.
- Operate and maintain diagnostic equipment.
- Educate patients on procedures, answer questions, and ensure a comfortable experience.
- Provide support to the retina specialist during procedures and surgeries.
- Ensure accurate documentation of patient data in the medical record system.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree in ophthalmic technology or related field preferred.
- Certification as an Ophthalmic Technician (COT) or higher preferred but not required.
- Experience in ophthalmology or retina practice is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic equipment and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
