Job Summary
We are seeking a CAD Drafter who has deep experience with Excel and Spreadsheets to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of drafting principles and be proficient in various CAD software applications - In particular AutoCAD and Solidworks (or another 3D standard software).
This role will begin with helping our CAD TEAM continue to develop Methods of Manufacturing/Bill of Materials from existing prints to be used with our ERP system (Epicor). The job will be heavily focused on the development of accurate BOMS and Bills of Operations and requires a detailed-oriented person who can focus on tasks for extended period of time, be efficient, and work on their own at times.
Job responsibilities will also come to include various Techincal Document writings related to Plant Drawings, Production Items, and other Documents related to Catalogs, Online Documentation, or internal needs.
We are considering both a 20-30 hour work or full-time - there is potential for Work From Home options (to be agreed and determined) after the initial startup training is complete (6-8 weeks).
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed CAD drawings and schematics using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, and other relevant software.
- Collaborate with engineers to interpret design concepts and translate them into technical drawings.
- Create 3D models and visualizations using Sketchup and NavisWorks.
- Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards and project requirements.
- Review and revise drawings based on feedback from project stakeholders.
- Maintain organized documentation of all drafts, revisions, and related project materials.
- Assist in the preparation of project specifications and reports as needed.
- Stay updated on the latest CAD technologies and industry trends.
Experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, or SolidWorks, is required
- Strong understanding of schematics and technical drawing standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing individual tasks effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Previous experience in a similar role is a plus but not mandatory.
